Starting salary: $23.36/hour - Up to $38.15 after 8 years of continuous service, as provided in the applicable collective agreement.

Evening shifts (between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.) – $1.00 per hour
Night shifts (between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.) – $1.50 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for you! Air Canada is looking for Traffic Agents – Traffic Area (Station Attendants) to join its ramp operations team at the Vancouver cargo facilities. What will your day look like?

• As a Traffic Agent – Traffic Area (Station Attendant), you will be responsible for baggage and cargo handling, as well as operating a wide variety of equipment. You will also:
• Drive and operate vehicles and equipment intended for routine aircraft maintenance
• Guide or tow aircraft to parking stands for customer boarding and deplaning
• Safely and efficiently process all cargo/mail in our facilities
• Participate in loading and unloading customer cargo and baggage
• Prepare aircraft for arrivals and departures
• Please note that the operation also provides several support positions

Job Characteristics

Teamwork is essential here. We work together safely and efficiently to keep our fleet moving. This is a physically active role that requires you to be on the ramp or in the baggage room all year round, so you must be ready to work in any weather condition.

To join us, you must have:

• A valid driver's license
• Availability for shift work
• Ability to lift 70 lbs
• Pass a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test
• Demonstrate punctuality and reliability to support the overall success of the team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all transport security clearances and other applicable additional accreditations. Please consult the Transport Canada website for more details.
