We are looking for a tool management professional to contribute to manufacturing projects in the aeronautical sector. You will play a key role in the optimization and standardization of tools used in aeronautical production, in collaboration with engineering, tooling, and production teams.
Job Responsibilities
In your duties, you will be called upon to assume the following key roles and responsibilities;
- Tool chest management: Understand manufacturing tool needs and ensure operational needs are met. Standardize chests;
- Project governance: Actively participate in technical reviews and new tool introduction projects. Develop and monitor tool delivery and validation milestones.
- Technical expertise – Tools: Act as a technical reference for tools (function, design, calibration, maintenance, and tool requests). Collaborate with engineering, quality, tooling, and production teams to optimize tool utilization.
- Special tool management strategy: Develop and implement a management strategy for special tools, such as for knives or CNC tools.
- Budget management: Perform budget management and work order management.
- Customer service: Maintain a customer service-oriented approach;
Your profile:
- You possess a technical college diploma (DEC) and/or a bachelor's degree in applicable engineering;
- More than (5 to 10 years of experience) in industry, ideally aviation;
- You have a good sense of organization, planning, and problem-solving;
- You are functional in the French language both orally and in writing;
- Mastery of the English language will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of CATIA V5 will be considered an asset;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and under pressure;
- Bilingualism (French and English) required;
- Ability to generate reports from databases using SQL, VBA, Power Query (M language), Power BI (not required, but an asset);
- Familiarity with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, preferably Oracle.
