Reporting to the Senior Manager - Commercial Management, the person occupying this position is responsible for profitability analyses, analytical evaluations and performance management for Air Canada products and the Aeroplan program.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze problems and situations, as well as their impacts on the business units of Loyalty and Products.
  • Work directly with the Products team to support strategic recommendations for product investments. This may include, for example, the financial impacts of a new investment in lounges or a new technological platform for in-flight catering.
  • In close collaboration with the Loyalty team, develop solutions and support business cases relating to internal and external partnerships, technological improvements and changes made to the program.
  • Manage performance, by accounting for oneself on how to perform the tasks assigned effectively and by asking others to do the same, and focus on excellent execution.
  • Using Power BI and SQL, analyze data related to key indicators of the program and Aeroplan products in order to respond to ad hoc requests concerning performance and to support regular operational and financial performance meetings.
  • React with resourcefulness and demonstrate agility in the face of new challenges and requirements.
  • Effectively manage the pressures and complexities of various situations and progress in a positive and productive manner in conditions of change or uncertainty.

Qualifications

  • Motivation and ability to advance one's career within the company and to occupy an executive position.
  • University degree required.
  • At least three years of experience.
  • Proven experience in achieving and exceeding objectives.
  • Analytical mind and passion for numbers.
  • Experience in analytics, consulting, finance or other quantitative fields.
  • Demonstrated communication skills which include communications of opportunities for customers and explaining financial performance.
  • Concern for operational excellence.
  • Show punctuality and reliability to promote the overall success of the team in a fast-paced environment.
