The incumbent acts as the main point of contact for all issues related to international branches, including country-specific tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements. They gather all the elements necessary to produce results, analyses, and compliance obligations related to airline revenue and international financial operations.
This position is ideal for someone who has strong skills in process implementation and optimization, is a CPA member, and wishes to make a concrete impact by structuring and improving practices.
- Performs the necessary steps for the implementation of tax and accounting requirements in the various countries where Air Transat operates, including the opening or updating of local obligations.
- Works in collaboration with the IT department to implement the required electronic invoicing systems, ensuring that government requirements specific to each jurisdiction are met.
- Supports local legal and tax representatives in various countries to ensure ongoing compliance and smooth communication.
- Ensures that Air Transat's business practices comply with the regulatory, tax, and accounting requirements of the countries served.
- Coordinates all actions of the Finance department necessary for the opening of a new route, including tax, accounting, regulatory, and operational obligations.
- Supports the Director, Airline Revenue Control, in any external or internal audits.
- Supports and produces any ad-hoc requests addressed to the sector.
- Performs any other related task.
Being a member of the CPA Order.
Having a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a complex financial environment.
Holding a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (including Power Query and modeling) and excellent knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Suite.
Very good knowledge of SAP software.
Knowledge of the airline industry, Revenue Accounting, or interline/codeshare, an asset.
Excellent work organization, autonomy, and rigor, with a solid capacity to manage priorities and emergencies.
Oral and written proficiency in French and English*
*A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate frequently in English, orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients, or other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
