We have several open positions in aeronautical structures assembly to join our teams in Mirabel.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for structural installation, assembly and sub-assembly of systems, parts and components of aircraft within the framework of a project and/or assigned area.
  • Use technical data and instructions provided by the customer or aircraft manufacturer.
  • Use jigs and position components from PVA, engineering department drawings or any other material provided by the methods department.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or the manufacturing file.
  • Adapt work to different types of assembly: large/small components.
  • Adjust and use manual or automated machines and tools according to the work to be performed.
  • Assemble metal and/or composite parts according to technical specifications provided by the customer:
  • Install necessary fasteners; drill holes; ensure correct products are used for assembly (bolts, tempered or mechanical rivets, screws or accessories to fix, support or suspend components and sub-assemblies).
  • Ensure the use of correct products for assembly (sealants, bonding, corrosion, paint).
  • Ensure compliance of assemblies with the manufacturing file.
  • Inspect and verify installed units, parts and equipment to ensure their suitability, performance and compliance with standards defined in technical documentation.
  • Respect quality standards and production rates.
  • Comply with health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Report any anomaly or irregularity.
  • Any other related tasks

Skills and Qualifications

  • Two years of experience as a structures assembler in the aeronautical sector.
  • You possess at least a Diploma of Vocational Studies in aeronautical structures assembly or equivalent.
  • You have excellent blueprint reading skills.
  • You show dexterity.
  • You have quick-wittedness and a developed attention to detail.
  • Fluency in French spoken and written, English is an asset.
