Tooling Business Manager
Location: Mirabel (QC)
We are supporting our client, a major player in the Canadian aerospace industry, in their search for a Tooling Business Manager to ensure the planning, coordination, and monitoring of projects related to equipment and tooling.
Role and Responsibilities
- Interpret, understand, and comply with plans and specifications.
- Work closely with the various departments of the company and act as an orchestrator to ensure efficient coordination of activities.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards applicable to equipment.
- Manage the subcontracting of engineering services, notably planning, coordination, and scheduling.
- Create and monitor general project planning while managing unforeseen events and constraints in order to meet deadlines.
- Monitor project-related budgets.
- Lead multidisciplinary meetings and ensure the commitment of various collaborators.
- Identify issues encountered during projects and implement appropriate solutions.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to the steering committee.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during development projects.
- Ensure the quality of technical documents used for calls for tenders, notably specifications, working standards, and appendices.
- Provide methodological support and accompany project managers in the subcontracting process.
Profile Sought
- You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or an equivalent field.
- You possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the industrial sector or in a similar position. Any relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.
- You demonstrate good analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- You are recognized for your reliability, autonomy, and ability to work effectively in a team.
- You are stimulated by changes in your work environment.
- You possess an excellent capacity to adapt to a high work pace.
- You are able to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously.
- Fluency in French and English is an asset.
