Tooling Business Manager

Location: Mirabel (QC)

We are supporting our client, a major player in the Canadian aerospace industry, in their search for a Tooling Business Manager to ensure the planning, coordination, and monitoring of projects related to equipment and tooling.

Role and Responsibilities

• Interpret, understand, and comply with plans and specifications.
• Work closely with the various departments of the company and act as an orchestrator to ensure efficient coordination of activities.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards applicable to equipment.
• Manage the subcontracting of engineering services, notably planning, coordination, and scheduling.
• Create and monitor general project planning while managing unforeseen events and constraints in order to meet deadlines.
• Monitor project-related budgets.
• Lead multidisciplinary meetings and ensure the commitment of various collaborators.
• Identify issues encountered during projects and implement appropriate solutions.
• Prepare and present project progress reports to the steering committee.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients during development projects.
• Ensure the quality of technical documents used for calls for tenders, notably specifications, working standards, and appendices.
• Provide methodological support and accompany project managers in the subcontracting process.

Profile Sought

• You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or an equivalent field.
• You possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the industrial sector or in a similar position. Any relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.
• You demonstrate good analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
• You are recognized for your reliability, autonomy, and ability to work effectively in a team.
• You are stimulated by changes in your work environment.
• You possess an excellent capacity to adapt to a high work pace.
• You are able to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously.
• Fluency in French and English is an asset.
