Air Canada is looking for a dynamic person to fill a permanent full-time position for an Electrician – Facilities Maintenance at the Vancouver airport.
- The candidate is responsible for preventive maintenance and repair requests made through the Facilities work order system.
- Install, maintain, and repair facility and industrial equipment, as well as related electrical and electronic controls.
- Consult and interpret assembly plans and electrical diagrams as well as the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components to verify operation.
- Maintain, repair, test, and install electric motors, generators, industrial forklift batteries, and electrical control systems for hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Manage the preventive maintenance program for motorized and non-motorized ground equipment
- Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instruments and related devices.

Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Industrial electrician having completed the Red Seal interprovincial standards program
- At least five years of work experience in the field
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening
- Proven oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain a customer-focused attitude in a highly demanding work environment
- Team spirit
- Availability to work days, as well as weekends and holidays
- Availability to travel and possession of a valid passport
- Demonstrate punctuality and reliability to support the overall success of the team in a fast-paced environment.
- Employees occupying this safety-critical position must meet Air Canada's medical requirements to be eligible. Candidates will be subject to a medical evaluation, including drug and alcohol screening, and must not be under the influence of intoxicating substances
