Main responsibilities

Their responsibilities cover the complete life cycle of supplier aeronautical products across all aerospace programs:
Represent Manufacturing Engineering within Procurement cross-functional teams (Procurement MFT), where they provide technical expertise, support for supplier selection (call for tenders), and supplier capacity studies.
Monitor and support suppliers on new industrializations, Transfers of Work with evaluations of APQP Key Business Deliverables.
Ensure the application of the FU.IN.06 process and reference documents by the Manufacturing Engineering operational teams.
Minimize industrial risks at suppliers, guarantee industrial performance and competitiveness by promoting innovation and process improvement.
Eradicate non-quality (non-conformities, concessions).

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (important asset).
  • Training or certification in APQP, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or supplier management (asset).

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Significant experience in industrialization, aerospace structure manufacturing, or supply chain management.
  • Participation in production transfers (Transfer of Work) or New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Experience in evaluating and tracking APQP Key Business Deliverables.

Technical skills

  • Good knowledge of major aerospace structures (fuselage, wings, empennages, doors, structural panels, etc.).
  • Mastery of industrialization and rate-ramp-up processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality processes:
    • APQP
    • PPAP
    • FAI (AS9102)
    • AS9100
    • Management of non-conformities and concessions
  • Experience in industrial risk analysis and mitigation plans.
  • Good understanding of procurement and tender processes.
  • Ability to perform industrial capacity evaluations at suppliers.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methods (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
  • Mastery of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Skywise, or PLM tools is an asset.
