About the project
The machinist is responsible for tool setup and machine operation, while ensuring the quality of the parts produced. They ensure compliance with work procedures, perform inspections, and complete required documentation (PCD, PTS, maintenance). They participate in production monitoring, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and communicate work progress between shifts.

Responsibilities
- Ensure tool and fixture setup according to operation manuals;
- Operate the machines;
- Check the good condition of the part during its setup;
- Ensure that all work procedures are respected (program review vs PCD);
- Ensure the daily maintenance sheet is completed;
- Complete the PCD during work and once the task is completed;
- Update the production list (work progress) found on the machine;
- Inspect parts and complete the self-inspection sheet (PTS) attached to the PCD;
- Ensure the cleanliness of the workstation, machine, and maintenance of tools and measuring instruments provided;
- Transmit instructions and work progress of current work to the next shift;
- Inform their manager of any anomalies or problems likely to hinder the smooth running of production;
- Conduct tasks in compliance with the company's vision, doctrine, and code of ethics;
- Apply and comply with safety rules at all times;
- Apply and comply with the rules of our policy and quality system;
Requirements and qualifications:
- Diploma of Vocational Studies in machining techniques or equivalent
- Attestation of Vocational Specialization in numerical controls or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machinist in the aerospace field
- Proficiency in French and English, both oral and written.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and blueprints
- Ability to use measuring instruments
- Ability to perform simple and complex part setups
- Understand programming codes (e.g., G code, M code, etc.).
