We are looking for a heavy vehicle mechanic specialized in In-Service Support (ISS) to contribute to the maintenance in operational condition of military vehicles and specialized equipment.
Role — ISS Mission
You ensure the maintenance, reliability, and performance of military vehicles and specialized equipment throughout their life cycle. You directly contribute to the operational availability of systems and the continuous improvement of maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
Technical maintenance and support
- Perform technical work on heavy military trucks, specialized equipment, and components
- Diagnose, inspect, and repair systems according to military standards and specifications
- Ensure the maintenance in operational condition of equipment
- Perform road tests and performance validations
- Perform preventive and corrective inspections
Logistical support and life cycle management
- Participate in handling, logistics, and inventory management activities
- Contribute to configuration management and equipment traceability
- Participate in the reception, shipping, and tracking of parts
- Contribute to the maintenance of technical documentation and intervention reports
Continuous improvement and collaboration
- Participate in maintenance and support process improvement projects
- Document technical analyses and recommendations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, logistics, operations)
- Participate in training and knowledge transfer activities
Requirements
Education and experience
- DVS in heavy vehicle mechanics or construction machinery mechanics (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in heavy vehicle mechanics
- Experience in a military environment or specialized fleet (e.g., Renault Kerax) — major asset
- Class 3 driver's license — asset
