We are looking for our new toolmaker for our Latesys subsidiary based in Mirabel, QC.

What do we offer?

Reporting to the maintenance contract manager, your main duties will be:

  • Perform periodic equipment inspections according to the established maintenance plan.

  • Diagnose mechanical failures.

  • Perform necessary adjustments and repairs to ensure the continuity of production operations.

  • Work closely with the client's maintenance and production teams to plan interventions.

  • Rigorously document all maintenance actions in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (inspections, repairs, replacements).

  • Collaborate with metrologists to re-certify the most critical jigs in production.

  • Comply with safety standards and internal procedures at all times.

  • Communicate effectively with operators, colleagues, and supervisor to ensure optimal coordination.

Who are you?

  • Professional Diploma (DEP) in industrial mechanics or a related field.

  • Relevant experience in maintenance and mechanical tooling, ideally in aeronautics or in an industrial environment manufacturing large, high-precision parts.

  • Solid understanding of mechanical principles and industrial equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical schematics.

  • Mastery of control tools (calipers, micrometer, gauges, shims, levels, etc.).

  • Good reading of 2D/3D drawings and understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Good manual dexterity and technical skill (Ability to disassemble, adjust, and reassemble tooling rigorously).

  • Rigor, autonomy, and team spirit.

  • Excellent attention to detail: ability to spot small deviations.

  • Commitment to occupational health and safety.

  • Good technical judgment and compliance with certification procedures.

  • Comfortable with writing control or certification reports.

  • Very strong concern for detail, meticulous, precise.
