Surface Treatment Operator (Plating Operator) - Evening Shift

Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a global leader in aircraft landing and braking systems. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. State-of-the-art equipment is used for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

The work involves performing chromium, zinc-nickel, and nickel plating operations by electrodeposition using anodes, forms, anode baskets, basins, chemical solutions, and other techniques.

More specifically, you will be called upon to:

• Control the conditions of very high mechanical strength parts at all stages of the process
• Prepare and assemble parts with anodes and masks
• Perform electrolytic deposits (cadmium plating, chrome plating, or nickel plating)
• Apply and control plating parameters on electronic interfaces
• Use digital and analog measuring instruments
• Participate in the certification of plating baths
• Perform part inspection

Evening shift: Monday to Thursday from 2:20 PM to 12:20 AM

Note: Depending on collective agreement rules, the position may change shifts (day, night, or weekend)

The compensation for this position starts between $31.18 and $45.12 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training and your progression in acquiring skills related to the position, the hourly wage will increase up to a maximum of $48.97.

Requirements:

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (D.E.P.) in surface treatment, aeronautical mechanical assembly, structure assembly, welding-assembly, or equivalent experience
• Manual work experience or experience in the manufacturing field
• Knowledge of blueprint reading (an asset)
