Starting salary: $22.00/hour - Up to $33.36 after 9 years of continuous service, as provided in the applicable collective agreement.

Shift Premium: Evening shifts (between 6 PM and 11 PM) - $1.00/hour. Night shifts (between 11 PM and 6 AM) - $1.50/hour

The Opportunity

Air Canada is currently looking for cabin service and cleaning attendants to join its ground service team. This role consists of ensuring that the aircraft is ready for departure time and is safe. To achieve this goal, cleaning attendants must be quick, meticulous, and efficient so that passengers can experience a pleasant and comfortable flight.

What your daily life looks like

As a cabin service and cleaning attendant, you will play an important role in ensuring our aircraft are ready for departure on time and safely. You will also have to;

  • Equip the aircraft cabin for flight with cabin service supplies.

  • Clean and examine the interior of aircraft
  • Vacuum the floor, clean surfaces, and replace headrests.
  • Fill seat pockets with magazines and safety information.

Qualifications

Required skills and experience

This is an important position with a lot of responsibilities. That is why we have established a number of key criteria to ensure your success:

  • Available to work shifts
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work within strict deadlines
  • Valid driver's license
  • Be eligible to work in Canada
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability to support the overall success of the team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all applicable transportation security clearances and other additional accreditations. Please check the Transport Canada website for more details.

Employment Conditions

  • Eligible to work in Canada. If you hold a work permit, it must be valid for at least 12 months.
  • Eligible candidates must be eligible to work in Canada, possess a valid driver's license, and be available to attend full-time training (attendance is mandatory).
  • Employees holding this safety-critical position must meet Air Canada's medical requirements to be eligible. Candidates will be subject to a medical evaluation, including drug and alcohol screening, and must not be under the influence of intoxicating substances.
  • Candidates must have the right to work in the chosen country at the time a job offer is made. It is entirely the responsibility of applying employees to obtain the work permits, visas, or any other authorizations required for the position.
