Responsibilities:
- Define and document CAD standards with Siemens NX including templates and best practices.
- Develop workflows for CAD (NX) data management within Teamcenter PLM systems.
- Integrate NX, CATIAV5, and Multi-CAD tools with Teamcenter PLM systems and resolve raised issues.
- Organize mentoring sessions and create user documentation.
- Verify the accuracy of generated models and compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with the engineering, manufacturing, IT, and Siemens teams.
- Analyze, identify, and propose engineering process improvements tailored to internal needs.
- Participate in workshops to gather requirements and user stories.
- Interact with various parts of the engineering organization to ensure the adoption of proposed solutions.
Profile Sought
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and more than 5 years of relevant experience with Siemens NX software.
- Mastery of NX and CATIA V5 CAD software.
- Solid knowledge of GD&T/PMI and engineering standards.
- Good general knowledge of PLM principles and experience with Teamcenter.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to train or mentor others.
- Mastery of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with aerospace development (an asset).
- Prior experience at Bombardier and a good practical knowledge of SIB (Bombardier Engineering System) are preferred.
- This position requires an organized person with leadership skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have a logical and flexible approach.
- Must demonstrate initiative and an ability to understand how the details of a CAD project fit into the overall PLM.
