View all the job opportunities for this companyWe are supporting our client, a major player in the Canadian aerospace industry, in the search for a Senior Engineering Professional - EWIS Integrator for a 6 to 12-month mandate, with a possibility of conversion.
Work mode: hybrid - 2 days on-site, subject to change. For an excellent PA4-level profile, a remote option could be considered.
Travel: occasional/minimal travel between different sites.
Role and Responsibilities
As a senior EWIS Integrator, you will provide technical leadership for complex designs and major aircraft development or in-service maintenance initiatives.
You will notably be responsible for:
- Developing and reviewing 3D definitions of EWIS harnesses, their routing, supports, components, assemblies, and installation drawings.
- Ensuring the physical integration of electrical wiring interconnection systems within the aircraft environment.
- Participating in the selection and integration of connectors, clamps, supports, conduits, and protection devices.
- Applying requirements for separation, segregation, clearance, bend radius, support spacing, accessibility, and maintainability.
- Coordinating installations with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment interfaces, and the various zones of the aircraft.
- Collaborating with structures, electrical systems, methods, manufacturing, suppliers, interiors, loads, thermodynamics, safety, and other engineering functions.
- Resolving routing and interface conflicts as well as installation and manufacturability issues.
- Verifying the compliance of EWIS installations with applicable design and certification requirements.
- Supporting technical investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
- Evaluating the impacts of design changes on costs, schedules, weight, risks, and configuration.
- Tracking configuration data within the PLM environment.
- Providing technical guidance to teams and acting as a mentor to engineers.
Profile Sought
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Typically 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in aeronautical engineering.
- Solid experience in EWIS integration and 3D electrical harness definition.
- Good understanding of electrical and wiring schematics as well as harness manufacturing, installation, and inspection processes.
- Mastery of EWIS separation/segregation principles, bend radii, supports, protection, and environmental constraints.
- Experience in technical drawings, configuration management, and engineering changes.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5, particularly applicable electrical workbenches.
- Experience with ENOVIA and MS Office.
- NX and Teamcenter are assets.
- Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and technical leadership capabilities.
- Ability to influence technical decisions and mentor less experienced engineers.
- English mandatory.
- French: an asset.
Conditions
