Safran Landing Systems Canada is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in aircraft landing and braking systems. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacture of major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.
The supervisor is responsible for ensuring the progress of production activities to guarantee team efficiency.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Perform daily monitoring of operations on their shift to ensure teams meet target performances regarding the production plan, quality, EHS, etc.
• Coordinate the work of production teams in the field
• Ensure compliance with productivity and output objectives
• Track indicators (deadlines, scrap rates, machine downtime, etc.)
• When necessary, provide priority tracking on production progress
• Ensure a smooth transition between the preceding and following shifts and, if needed, reassign employees
• Identify and anticipate problematic situations or areas for improvement and coordinate resources to ensure efficient production
• Guide, support, and supervise manufacturing employees (compliance with rules, communication, annual evaluation, approval of payable hours, etc.)
• Manage schedule changes, overtime, absences, etc.
• Support and participate in efforts regarding quality, continuous improvement, Health, Safety, and Environment (GPI, 5S, risk analyses)
• Foster skills development among manufacturing employees, including newcomers
• Conduct individual interviews with manufacturing employees
• Facilitate and participate in daily production monitoring team meetings (QRQC, etc.)

Requirements:
• DEC or DEP in a relevant discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of team management experience in aeronautics or a high-tech manufacturing environment
Technical skills:
• Knowledge of our manufacturing process
• Product knowledge
• Knowledge of the system (CASQ-IT) and quality procedures
• Knowledge of EHS rules and procedures
