Responsible for performing and ensuring the safe and compliant execution of all aeronautical maintenance activities, documentation, and regulatory requirements, while maintaining a clean work environment and supporting all tasks assigned by management.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform and ensure the proper execution of all maintenance activities related to Sky Service FBO aircraft, both in the hangar and on the ramp.
- Ensure that aircraft documentation is complete and accurate.
- Ensure that all components installed on aircraft are duly certified.
- Perform tasks in accordance with the applicable maintenance control manual and ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulatory requirements.
- Participate in required training as directed by management.
- Comply with the Safety Management System (SMS) policy.
- Maintain and ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Assist with maintenance planning and forecasting, including planning inspections, component overhauls, and long-term maintenance events.
- Coordinate with maintenance control, suppliers, and service providers to support planned maintenance and aircraft availability.
- Actively support cost control initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize maintenance planning, parts procurement, and service provider utilization.
- Support and assist in the planning and execution of major aircraft projects, including cabin renovations, avionics upgrades, and interior modifications.
- Work in collaboration with flight crews and operations to ensure maximum aircraft availability and departure reliability.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and discretion, consistent with corporate and private aviation standards.
OPERATIONAL FLEXIBILITY:
- Ability to travel to support aircraft and perform maintenance activities at external stopovers as needed.
- Availability to work flexible hours based on aircraft operational needs and owner schedules.
- Availability to respond to AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Valid Transport Canada M2 license.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Rating on Bombardier Challenger 605 or similar large-cabin business aircraft, an asset. ACA license or avionics technician, an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and forecast maintenance activities, including inspections, component overhauls, and long-term maintenance events.
- Experience in coordinating planned inspections, heavy maintenance work, or major modification projects, an asset.
- Experience with aeronautical maintenance tracking systems (CAMP, Flightdocs, Traxxall) and practical knowledge of OEM maintenance service programs (Bombardier, GE, Honeywell), including the ability to manage program utilization to maximize coverage and control maintenance costs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with flight crews, the aircraft owner's representative, maintenance control, and external suppliers in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure while remaining attentive to details.
