The licensed aircraft maintenance engineer - structures is responsible for aircraft structure repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, evaluate, repair, modify and weld metal and/or composite aircraft parts according to airworthiness standards, in accordance with applicable company maintenance control manuals and Transport Canada regulations;
• Order necessary parts and follow up with the technical purchasing team;
• Work closely with aircraft maintenance engineers to keep all aircraft systems operational;
• Establish for the maintenance of all parts and structures treated all documentation required by the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR), the Maintenance Control Manual (MCM) and the Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM) of the company;
• Recommend for certification or certify by signing a maintenance record the completion of the work and the fact that the work on the aircraft structure has been carried out in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Diploma of College Studies in aircraft maintenance or the equivalent (structure assembly);

At least two years of experience as a structural repair technician;

Hold a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence "S" (which must remain valid at all times during employment);

Welder certification is an asset;

Ability to perform meticulous work with hands (dexterity);

Ability to read blueprints;

Strong communication skills

*A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will have to communicate frequently in English, orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients or other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
